Our People

Jennifer Mahan P.E., WEDG

Senior Associate

Jennifer Mahan focuses on flood adaptation and climate resilience at Thornton Tomasetti. She develops building-level flood resilience strategies, as well as site- and campus-scale approaches, to help clients mitigate a wide range of climate shocks and stresses. She integrates resilience planning with structural analysis, sustainability, and the overall basis of design, including sustainable and adaptive reuse projects.

Jennifer works with stewards of public facilities, affordable housing communities, historic buildings, and major healthcare campuses. She supports risk-mitigation, assessment and design, post-loss investigation, and recovery-focused planning projects. Her experience includes leading resilience strategy development, restoring landmarked urban properties, and developing campus-scale flood resilience and emergency action plans.

Across her work, Jennifer draws on specialized training and field experience in post-disaster assessment to guide practical recovery, reduce future risk, and support long-term community resilience.
